Today’s New Track | Gap Dream’s “Strong Love”

gap dream

Gap Dream has a penchant for churning out curvy psychedelic synthpop with a happenstance for hitting that much sought after ‘chill spot.’ Perhaps the ideal wind-down track to today’s week, “Strong Love” whirls a kaleidoscope of sounds deep into your cerebellum, numbing every lobe and thought stuck in your head until you re-awaken four minutes older. For such hushed vocal and synth notes, it’s unexpectedly spellbinding – unlocking a sloth-paced tempo unlike their 2013 album Shine Your Light.

“Strong Love” comes off one-half of a 7″ release distributed by Burger Records and will see most of its sales from live shows (which are listed below). Obvious to say, the sole leader/constant member of Gap Dream – him being Gabe Fulvimar – will be present as more than just a performer, but also a Burger brother (considering he now lives at their HQ in Fullerton, California). Honestly, it’s tough to grasp Fulvimar once belonging to an early version of The Black Keys after seeing the music he makes nowadays.

The flip side of the 7″ will feature Part Time – an exceptional San Fran group full of deep Smiths and Bowie influence. (Part Time’s year-old album PDA has a full stream through Mexican Summer here). And now, as previously stated, here are the upcoming tour dates:
